It’s a cardigan my late aunt bought for my dad in the early 80s. It’s one of his prized possessions. I want to knit one for myself. I’ll try to get a pick of the reverse side but here is the full cardigan:

Does anyone know what this stitch is? This is 40 yrs old and has been washed a thousand times so it’s hard to tell what’s going on in the stitch pattern and I have not been able to replicate it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🩷

The Midland Cardigan by Laura Penrose is available today. I had never repeated a garment pattern before but for this one I cast on a second version immediately upon finishing the first. The fit is amazing and it is super fun to knit! 🧶 #knitting
