Playmobil sets are always of such a high quality. I loved it when I was young and one of my happiest moments was when my son asked for the Ghostbusters Fire Station for his birthday.

This was a great run of 2000AD with Dredd, Dead Man, Zenith and Chopper. Still regularly read the last two stories. Must be difficult to choose a favourite for each Prog

This was the first 2000AD I read. My Grandma brought it for me when she visited us in Hong Kong

The Rogue Trooper crucified reminds me of the Wolverine Crucifixion comic cover so thought it might have been inspired by that, but X-Men 251 came out only a few months later.

Even referenced in Space

Mike: Don't forget whose shoulder you cried on when the last one dumped you.
Tim: I won't.
Mike: Or when Johnny Alpha got killed by that big flying monster in 2000 A.D.

One or the most shocking deaths in comics just before the trend to kill everyone and bring them back.

His art was amazing and I loved it all but 2000ad at the time was pointing towards everything being wonderful. Looking back there were certain issues that were exceptional art and story arcs

Also it adds to your titles. Wife is a Dr King, sister is a Professor King

I am a King and the most difficult thing was choosing names for my children. Turns everything into a verb. Joe King, Nick King. Even John King sounds rude.

What about Bernie from the Northampton Saints!

looking at the letters the reason there could never be a Slaine movie is that there would be so many arguments about how to pronounce his name

With my boy when he was a toddler at London Zoo and he and a little girl were standing together being very cute and pointing at the camels. Did the usual interaction with the dad of smiling and nodding and it was Chris Martin of Coldplay

This is the first 2000AD I ever read. My Grandma brought it with her when she visited us in Hong Kong. I was 7 years old and remember reading it on the beach. It freaked me out, especially the Strontium Dog story but I was hooked.

My son's class had a discussion about what their parents did as jobs. This next day all the mums and dads at pick up were laughing and saying wow to me. I'm an engineer. All the kids had rushed home to tell their parents I was a Ninja.

I must google the great rhythmic dancing bridge incident that led to this sign in Singapore being put up.

Disco Rogue scene?

Yes, watched it a couple of times when it came out, and then showed it to the kids when they were little and wanted to watch it all the time. Put it on for the first time in years and it is still a fantastically fun film.
