Maybe. I live in a very progressive city in Ohio and it’s still very different. Again, beyond the left/right paradigm. In my experience, Canadians have an interesting mix of patriotism and global citizenry. Americans typically do not.

I see what you’re getting at but I don’t think that’s true. After living in both BC and Ohio I can tell you that they aren’t even remotely the same politically. And that goes far beyond left vs right.
