Looming over a tranquil valley, an old rift in spacetime suddenly and violently explodes. The shockwave reaches a lone Jeep, tossing it like a toy and flattening trees in its wake. Umber and his friend Dreason, on a routine trip to monitor a buried reality shard, witness the aftermath of the explosion. Dreason looks concerned, but ready to face whatever comes out of it. Umber, however, is terrified, fearing that the June 13th incident is about to repeat itself.
