Back in April, 2025, I was lucky enough to chair a panel at my studio, #PuppetPlace, that we've subsequently turned into a podcast.

Thanks to our brilliant panellists, Jasmine Orchard, Carrot, and Izzy Bristow, and to Jonathan Eve for recording the event.

Bristol folk, if you're interested in #puppetry? I'm chairing a panel on Wednesday, 23rd April, at PuppetPlace.org, with expert puppetry panelists Carrot (Bean Pig Puppetry), Izzy B (House of Funny Noises), and Jasmine Orchard (Scarlet Oak Theatre).

I've been volunteering with Feed The Homeless Bristol, thanks to a good friend introducing me to the team. I help on the queue, chatting with folk from all walks of life. We easily serve 100-150 people in an evening.

If you're Bristol based you can support or volunteer via: feedthehomeless.org.uk

Thank you to everyone who came to the charity Scratch Cabaret at our studio, puppetplace.org. Big thanks to all of the acts, volunteers, tech crew, and residents who made two shows in a day possible. Well done, all.

As it's Halloween, I thought I'd share a horror story, Scar Gang, which I wrote for the Tales of Promethea horror anthology, based on the award-winning RPG by Iain Lowson.

#doctorwhoday 60 years. I've been a fan since I was a child, peeking from behind a cushion. It has always been a part of my life, whether watching, listening, or reading the stories. And is one of the influences that led me to become a writer. Thank you, #doctorwho and the myriad folk responsible.

Had a lovely weekend at AdventureX #AdvX23. Was great getting to catch up with and get to meet so many new narrative and games folk. The talks and panels were great too. Thank you to all the speakers, exhibitors, organisers, volunteers, and attendees.
