Right, the correct response to "people aren't using the shelters we opened"
is not "we must not be using enough violence to coerce folks"
it is "what are the things we've failed to consider that would make them more usable / a more attractive option?"

There are local parents on here who've lost kids in crashes, & I can only imagine how they feel reading a comment that implies their fight to end traffic violence isn't important in the grand scheme of things.
We can and should be allies on safety issues, and demand a govt that can walk & chew gum.
