The easiest thing I found to implement with food presentation is to have contrasting colors as garnishes for your foods! Like in your second picture, the green herbs on top help sell how brown the meat is, which in turn sells how white the rice is!

I think tekken needs something hype like a guest to grab on to for the casual side of the community. It’ll help keep the player base healthy.

Personally I’m hoping the season 2 balance patch will smooth the oppressive edges off the top tiers since the game is really balanced otherwise.
