Wow! Those guys are huge!

No guns. Its pretty fucking simple.

You say that, but honestly I was just focused on the cruise bit and didn't pick up on the poop bit until too late. Lesson learned I guess 🤷💩

Wise words. Wise words indeed.

I mean, you can point a camera in pretty much any direction in Honfleur and get a stunning picture. So to have failed to do so entirely is quite an achievement 😁

Ooh hey! Wait! It was on mine! House!

Wow, that's rude.

I do get the point about victim blaming now. I don't feel I'm blaming anyone, I thought I was just saying lookout for yourself when riding. There's a lot of vitriol out here and I'm not sure this discussion is helping.

Have a nice day, and stay safe.

I think this article helps me understand your point, www.cyclinguk.org/news/2016092...

Thanks.

Stay safe.
THINK before you blame the victim
'Hang Back' from lorries is this morning's message from the DfT to cyclists. No mention on safer direct vision lorries, better infrastructure, driver responsibility or lorry restrictions. Just a messa...

I don't understand why you're persisting with wilfully ignoring the point of road users being fallible. The diagram is what priority you have when everything is working correctly. There's not a diagram for what happens when something has gone wrong.
April 30, 2025 at 8:50 PM
I agree completely. It'd be great if cyclists didn't have to consider this. I think all road users should ride a bike for a bit, and drive a 7.5T for a bit. Both are eye opening experiences.
April 30, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I don't think I am. I'm just saying if a lorry driver makes a mistake then you could wind up dead. I would like the lorry driver to be more careful, but he'll sometimes make a mistake. It's not deliberate.
April 30, 2025 at 7:02 PM
I'm guessing you think I look youthful in my profile pic! Thx!

Look, I'm not saying you're a danger on the roads, I'm trying to drive in safe way all the time too. Inevitably some drivers will make mistakes, its human, so I try to be prepared for that. I'm not sure what's so contentious about that.
April 30, 2025 at 3:56 PM
Where's this coming from "What's stopping you?"

I agree completely with what you've said about following the highway code, paying attention etc. I'm pointing out that people are fallible, and being prepared for that is sensible.
April 30, 2025 at 3:47 PM
What about me doesn't sound like a cyclist? As a cyclist I know I'm very vulnerable on the road, so I make allowances for that. This is because mistakes happen, not because everyone is out to kill you.

You don't sound like a road user. You sound like someone who likes to make noise on the internet.
April 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM
The blame is still with the driver.. but you're the one under the bus. No point being righteously indignant with a tyre track across your chest. Every road user can make mistakes, be prepared for that.

Weird final sentence there.. but this is the internet after all. 🙄
April 30, 2025 at 10:30 AM
This is not how it works. You need to drive, ride, walk as if anyone can make a mistake. You could stride onto a zebra crossing knowing that "drivers must stop", it doesn't mean you won't end up under a bus because the they didn't stop. Defensively you make eye contact and judge the bus is slowing

Vine is a pillock. The fact he's able to post so many of his stupid videos speaks more to his lack of cycling skills and road awareness than the it does about the drivers. Speaking as a cyclist myself I think he's done our cause more harm than good, and I'm glad he's not going to post any more.

And, of course, partly due to the number of elephants that might be hiding in it.
April 29, 2025 at 1:12 PM
I guess people just didn't realise that was an option...
April 2, 2025 at 8:30 PM
If you don't get that the rules don't seem to apply then you need to wake up...

a) Extend term length with an amendment
b) Change the 2 terms rule with an amendment
c) Declare martial law, suspend elections until "this whole situation calms down"
d) Ignore the rule (ground work tested already)
March 31, 2025 at 8:17 AM
Ah, so close! To be fair, there is only _one_ elephant in the picture. Probably just needs an elephantCount = elephantCount -1 in the code and they'll have this bang on.
