I’m at Memorial Hall in Kansas City tonight. It was here on Sept. 17, 1981 that Ric Flair defeated Dusty Rhodes to win his first NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Very cool building with a lot of wrestling history! #WrestleSky

I present Marvel Team Up #74. Because Marvel doesn’t own the intellectual property of the SNL folks, they’re not able to reprint this in any omnibus or Marvel Team Up collections. Fun cover. One of my favorite comics ever.
Marvel Team Up #74 featuring Spider-Man and the Not-Ready-For-Prime-Time-Players from Saturday Night Live. The SNL cast is standing behind John Belushi who is dressed like a samurai wielding a samurai sword. The viewer sees the scene from the perspective of the bad guy, also a samurai wielding a sword. Spider-Man is swinging in, trying to get between the two while saying “Belushi! No! That samurai’s for real!”

One of of my recent comic books back from CGC. Pretty good shape for a book from 1956.
A graded copy of Forward With Eisenhower-Nixon, which is a comic book released by the Eisenhower campaign to support his 1956 re-election campaign. This particular book is graded as an 8.5 with off-white to white pages.

Got my comic book back from CGC today! Batman 127. October 1969. Batman featuring The Hammer of Thor. This book came out almost three years before Marvel introduced Thor. It also features Bruce Wayne dressed as Superman while at a costume party.
A copy of Batman #127 from October 1959 graded by CGC as a 4.0. The cover is of of a city street (gray) and sidewalk (white) and features Thor (left) throwing his hammer, knocking down a green telephone pole while Batman and Robin (bottom right) avoid the broken glass scattered across the sidewalk. Thor says “You dare to defy Thor, the thundergod! Let this be a warning!”
