I've just finished this. Very enjoyable. Honest, forthright, anecdote heavy. The two chapters where Martin is in conversation with Tony Adams and Arsene Wenger are particularly interesting. Can definitely recommend, especially for Arsenal fans who were there '98 thru '06.

Just finished this. If there is a better contemporary writer out there than Jonathan Coe, I'd like to find them.

First book of 2025 finished. "If You Were There You'd Know", by Steve Kemsley. A cracking read, which won't take long - partly because it's quite short, partly because you won't want to put it down. Steve takes us through his roller coaster life with some world class name dropping along the way.

Paul McCartney at the London 02 Arena. Cheapest seats in the house, but they didn't feel like the worst. Set list was perfect, a cross section of Beatles and Wings songs. When he played Blackbird I wasn't sure who would blub first, him or me. Went with my son. Who can now say he saw a live Beatle 😍
