I finished Silksong the other day and decided to give it time to sit before posting it. I will say this: it's easily the best game I've played this year. I loved it from beginning to end. But there's a lot of very valid criticism about its difficulty I've seen from various sources. 1/5

I tried to play and beat the Surge 2 like three times. I'm not sure why I kept leaving and coming back but I finally sat down and beat it. Very solid "souls like". I recall the first one being flawed but decent and this one expanded on the first's formula in a good way. Game makes parrying fun.

6. Favorite Villain: Black Knight. Sorry all these answers are Tellius, but c'mon look at him. I almost put Naesala but I'm not sure he counts as a "villain". Black Knight looks cool, is intimidating and is overall neat. Hard to talk too much about him without spoilers, just look at FEH.

5. Favorite Female Character: This one's tougher, but of course it's from Tellius again: I loved Jill. She's one of the few minor characters to get a whole arc/subplot and her supports are incredibly good. I love her support with Lethe the most. Also, dragon knights are just cool.

4. Favorite Male Character: Ranulf from Tellius was always my favorite, character wise even if I didn't use him that much and also didn't find most of the Laguz units very good gameplay wise. Ranulf was a chill guy who simultaneously was cool and got his ass kicked a lot.

3. Most hours: My time in Fire Emblem Awakening went into triple digits. I was obsessed with that game when it came out, played through it multiple times. The whole "building super children" simulator aspect also contributed a lot to that in addition to the expanded shipping aspect.

2.Best Story: Still Path of Radiance imo. Add in Radiant Dawn if you want to group them together but I think Path of Radiance had the better overall plot between the two. The Tellius series in general was my favorite overall in the series.

Path of Radiance was my first game in the series! I wanted to play FE7 but never got around to it. I remember being interested in the series because Marth from Smash Bros. and we had Nintendo Power and it looked kinda like Advance Wars.

Finally beat the Halo Infinite campaign and mixed feelings. Halo used to be one of the games that was, like, my favorite thing. But the last few entries it just really seems like they have no idea where they want to go with the series or what they want to do and 1/4

Fantastic Four First Steps was good, I quite liked it. I'm not the biggest F4 fan in general and I actually did like the 2005 film, but even then this one did feel like it got the main theme of what F4 is supposed to be about. Family, adventure, cooperation through adversity. It was good.

Anyway saw Superman (2025). Liked it overall, thought it was a little messy. But the characterization was very good which is what I think Gunn excels at. I think at this point there's no reason to do a "superman origin story" and the film agrees with that. 1/2

I know Marvel's played out or whatever but I was looking forward to Thunderbolts* and I really liked it. Team up movies are fun and the cast was really strong and played off each other well. Without spoilers I think the final act handled "The villain is depression" as well as a Marvel film could.

Hot damn Sinners was good. Best movie I've seen in theaters in a long time. Do yourself a favor and go see it. I may write more about it later but seriously this was great.

Watched I Saw The TV Glow last weekend and it's stuck with me. Been wondering what to say about it. I really liked it. It's a very unsettling movie, intentionally so. I think it's classified as a horror/thriller but it avoids a lot of modern cliches like jumpscares etc. Its a very unnerving-

Forgot to write this one but saw the new Captain America a few weeks ago and it was....fine. I'm a really easily entertained person which is why I find it hard to be a critic a lot, but I feel like it was just kind of a decently average movie-

Anyway, overall, I like the game. I'm enjoying it and will keep playing it. But it is a mixed bag in some areas still. Funny Monster Hunter though.

Saw the credits for Monster Hunter Wilds, but it's not "beaten" because I think the actual part of the game that feels like what they wanted it to be is the post game.

I beat Core Keeper a few days ago. "Beat" is synonymous for "saw the credits". Being a base building, farming/mining sim it's the kind of game that you can just sorta play forever if you want. I admit, I say I don't like farm games and I think that's mostly true but- 1/3
