I feel like their criticism says more about their lack of thinking than it does about what they are criticising. Depends on line of criticism, but if someone were to generally criticise them superfluous/simple/childish, then I know their prob just a bad faith argument looking for a rise

I really hate how people infantilise videogames. To me it’s a combination of art and artistry via multiple mediums: visuals, music, literature/writing/narrative, interaction design; basically all the arts and humanities subjects combined. It can also encourage players’ creative thinking through play
