Southwest Chief rolling through Pasadena, to the building to its left is now Barney’s Beanery. And the track it’s on has been replaced and is underground, it now serves LA Metro’s A line!

Power nap complete! Woke up 10 minutes before our stop, got off and waiting on our ride in Sacramento! What a fun trip, next time needs to be a roomette but 8/10!

It’s past 10pm which means it’s time for quiet hours, we don’t reach our destination until almost 1 so power nap until then!

Made a new friend at dinner! She’s heading to Oregon. We all got steak and cheesecake for dessert which slapped. Having metal utensils and an actual table to sit at was very lovely.

Views continue to be great, you really have nothing to do but vibe. This is the ideal place for reading a book or locking in. Except unlike a plane, you don’t really feel trapped - there is so much room to move around.

We were a little late waiting for a connection but look at the leg room in coach! Amazing seats and so far the journey has been uneventful BESIDES THE SUPER COOL TUNNELS.

Here at LA Union Station for Amtrak’s Coast Starlight to Seattle, we’ll be taking it to Sacramento. We’re delayed by 30 but we got great seats and we’re ready to go!
