I seem to discover things about myself constantly. This either means I'm really interesting or an idiot. Either way, I thought I'd share a development with you. Whenever I need to get a lot of things done, I am obliviously aware of this and try to plan the day so I do a great job of getting on everything immediately. This never seems to work, procrastination goes through the roof.

Making an effort to get rid of all the handwritten notes I have collected over the years. Some by simply throwing away, most by typing up on my laptop. There is a joyous simplicity to this. Its easy enough to do while listening to a podcast or watching a film in the background. I fold the paper into quarters once copied and add to the recycling pile.

We have returned to a common place for me, choosing a project to focus on for the foreseeable future. Here I will list several of the projects I am considering working on and making a decision to review as I go. 1.) Expand The Outline of My Novel On about thirty non-sticky post-it-notes, I have the story beats of a high fantasy novel written in blue ink.

Having a big organise of all the paper accrued over various educations and years. It's interesting what you find you've kept. There is a lot of paper from lessons and workshops to condense. First, I aim to get it all filed. I should probably get rid of most of it but I'm always convinced stuff will be useful. Seeing Sinners last week really lit up my imagination.

Previously, reading A Working Diary by Simon Stephens, I was struck over the head by a particular sentence.  I was working with a group of emerging writers at The Royal Court for a week[...].  S. Stephens, A Working Diary, (London, Bloomsbury Methuen Drama, 2016), pg. 182 This seems like an innocuous sentence and it is but it hit me like a tonne of bricks. 

Since twenty-twenty-one, I have tried to write a blog and run a website. The website had no purpose, aside from showing what I was working on and thinking about. I wrote about a hundred blogs over that time, before I taking them all down. What has this process taught me? I struggle to write blogs. It wasn't the content production or the editing that slowed me, it was the knowledge the blog will go out in the world.
