My current daily snack habit: a bowl of animal crackers, pretzels, and a bit of dark chocolate. These animal crackers aren’t buttery, shortbread-esque ones. They are the dry ones, which for some reason I prefer.

We’ve had contractors coming and going as we finish up this home renovation. The best part is the little surprises they leave for you.

You can ask Siri how many steps you’ve taken this year. I love getting my steps in every darn day! This, and an adjustment to my diet has helped me lose over 20 lbs this year.

One of my favorite little souvenirs I brought back from Hong Kong Disneyland: a Mickey-themed tin of individually-wrapped pineapple shortbread mini cakes. They were delicious and this container is so cute.

I’ve been getting up very early feeling restless. There are some great hiking trails where we’re staying. I had the foresight to bring a headlamp so I can go out and hike before sunrise. It feels a bit like a horror movie at first, but then you get used to it and can really enjoy the solitude.

Today we stopped by one of my favorite cookie spots, Levain Bakery. This used to be a tiny little basement operation when I lived nearby in the Upper West Side… now it’s becoming a whole cookie empire!

I’m not sure how long this has been a capability, but I just realized if you plug an iPhone into a Mac via USB, you can do a VERY fast AirDrop via cable. This just saved me a lot of time transferring 4K footage for editing when the wireless connection was acting up and I was getting failures.

I had a video script written but not recorded. Usually I can’t record while I’m at airports and on planes because of the background noise. But here at HKG I found these call pods which are also PERFECT voiceover recording booths. Now I can edit my next video on the flight back home! 🙌

A year ago I put on a pair of ice skates that kind of dug into my skin. It was just a bit uncomfortable, but not too bad. Little did I know I’d still have a scar a year later.
