Digitisation Librarian, working in a busy Library. Former Museum worker. Big geek, interested in digitisation, History, films, F1 and Sci-fi
Had a very nice tour of St Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry today, a rare survivor of Coventrys medieval past. The included mulled wine went down very well!

On my way back to London from a short break in Chichester and Portsmouth. A highlight was seeing the restored LCT 7074 at the D Day story museum. Fantastic restoration work and interpretation, well worth a visit.

also loved the this fake ‘spilled’ milk on the floor - looked very realistic in person.

Had a great time today at the new Japan House exhibition on fake display food. Commonly used by Japanese restaurants in window displays to show what’s on the menu there were some amazing examples of craft. Left feeling quite hungry!

Ticked a couple of Livery companies off my list this morning as part of #openhouselondon. Carpenters and Bakers Hall are both post war builds after the previous halls were destroyed in the Blitz.

Currently in New York for a significant Birthday and having a great time - spent yesterday going round the USS Intrepid, blown away by the scale/size of the ship. Plus seeing a craft that has been in space called the Enterprise will always be thrilling to a sci geek like me.

At the BFI once again tonight! Had a great time watching Starve Acre, a really creepy slice of British folk horror.

Had a great day yesterday listening to one of my favourite filmmakers at the BFI. Also the opportunity to see Pinocchio on the big screen where you can truly admire the stop motion craft.

Had a slightly soggy wander around Cov yesterday. Hadn’t been in the Cathedral for a long while but it really is a lovely piece of modern architecture . Parts of Coventry do look great now, just a shame about some of the other parts.
