My dad had these James Blish novelizations of #StarTrek episodes on the bookshelf in the 70's. They played a big role in making me a lifetime lover of all things Star Trek. These covers hit me with all sorts of nostalgia. Lou Feck was the artist for 6+8 and Eddie Jones (as S. Fantoni) for 10.

This is Ragu young and old. We found her hanging out at a McDonalds. She was tiny, sickly and bitey. We spent months trying to make friends with her and it worked. She turned into the most loving cat, who often licked my beard. She was my buddy. She passed from cancer at age 11 4 years ago #caturday

This is Mr. Brush. He showed up in our yard 5 1/2 years ago. We took him to the vet and they said he had Feline Leukemia Virus. We had to make a decision. 5 1/2 years later he is the happiest, quirkiest, bestest cat ever. FeLV is not a death sentence!

The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe #1 - released October 1982. This was such a big deal to 12 year old me. I had been reading comics on and off like all kids, but this created a burning desire for all things Marvel. This was the birth of my comics fandom. I still own the originals!
