My focus is on building a habit that I can sustain daily. That’s why next year’s goal is 30 push ups per day (365 x 30 = 10950). I’ve proven to myself many times I can do well over 30 push ups in a day. Now I need to do it consistently. Looking forward to reporting back with the results!

Just 15 push ups per day was the right starting point for me. Enough to take commitment, but not so many that I would get discouraged. In January 2024, I averaged a measly 7 push ups per day. By November 2024, I was averaging over 20 push ups per day.

First, why focus on push ups? Mainly so that I have no excuse to not do them. No equipment needed, no change of clothes needed. The Mayo Clinic says an adult male should be able to do 28 push ups. Was it a massive failure to only do 15 per day?
