So on the pardon front, we have a day when an outgoing president feels the need to pardon lots of people who haven’t committer crimes, and an incoming president who will likely pardon lots of people who definitely have (Jan 6th insurrectionists).

As a financial adviser I can anecdotally say that the vast majority of people don't understand inheritance tax, the thresholds, the allowances, and the legal ways to mitigate it. And that includes farmers. There is a lot of ill-informed bluster around this debate.
