I got an email that YouTube TV upped their pricing by $10/mo to $83/mo after already increasing it by $8/mo a bit more than a year ago. I thought to myself “man, cable’s gotta be cheaper than this at this point”. HAHAHA boy was I wrong. Try $140/mo for cable. When will cable finally die?

I amend this statement. It’s still a cool feature, but I just ran into someone I wanted to follow but they were on someone’s blocklist that I subscribe to, and there’s no way to override other than to unsubscribe from the list. Would be really awesome if BSky added a personal exemption list.

iOS 18 may be Apple’s buggiest OS release yet. I thought the bugs were due to me being on the dev beta early on, but I’ve been on the public release for more than a month now and it’s still super buggy.

I’m interested to see if BSky decides to go the Discord route and gain funding through subscriptions that allow for additional features. Not sure how that works with decentralized platforms, but it could be interesting.
How do we all feel about the possibility that the long-term viability of a platform like this remaining not crappy would require many of us to pay a small monthly fee?
