Only games I’ve seen people dig into besides DnD and Pathfinder are Monster of the Week and Blades in the Dark.
Even then a lot of folks just like the vibes and make a D&D5e game or a P2e game with ideas from those games.
When Critical Role makes their own game and still uses 5e it’s telling.

Shit I’d actually like it if there were more publicly paid custodians whose job it is to pick up trash and keep public spaces nice.
Having the guard do it is wild, but public works *should* be something we invest in as a society.

It’s been this way for so long and I’m really hoping this leads to the development of a lot of independent studios with talented folks who were held back by these big publishers.
We’re already seeing several big banger games every year from indie studios that are reaching big audiences.

There was this is just one of those QoL kind of things that feels solved. Skyrim had a better auto save.

Here I am. Immersed and enjoying my time so much and now I need to remember to keep my brain unimmersed enough to save in case shit goes unbelievably wrong.
Why isn’t there a timer for auto saves? This is a solved problem and has been for *decades*.

Hazels mom is a social worker and seeing the trauma she faces each day from work and that she always wants to help more reminds me of my mom who was a public school (now public college) social worker.
I just feel such a connection here. I know people like the ones in the game.

Like. As a southerner it’s nice to see Mississippi get some video game representation (they say Chickasaw County, that’s Mississippi). It’s also great seeing a game with a protagonist who is a black woman (there are like… less than 10 major games with black women in a lead role).

Mix of greed and practicality. If the physical copy costs more then they’d naturally see lower sales if the prices were different. So they make it the same price as the digital version.
Still bullshit, but tariffs would drive up prices of both products.

Exactly. These games have long life cycles and Wilds is still improving. It will be better in two years than it is now.
