Bellevue, Washington. Very upset about Trump’s destruction of America but used to be a pretty normal active social political commentator.
I am so tired of Trump critical posts focused on legality, norms, ethics, principles, and the constitution. It is absolutely clear that Trump could CARE LESS and ignores it all. There is NO point to pointing it all out. It's just plain old bad faith, and he complies only if it's easy.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social you should create a shadow us tax fund and stop sending it to Trump, and use the money to fund congressionally authorized California projects that Trump withholds. Or offset your payments when Trump cuts funding.

@sounderatheart.com aren’t these last three games essentially irrelevant as we can’t catch the 4 seed and can’t fall to ninth?

Of course if your leader is an existential threat to democracy, then this argument makes exactly zero sense. Mike Johnson “logic” is illogical.
Mike Johnson: "People have got to stop framing simple policy disagreements in terms of existential threats to our democracy. You can't call the other side fascists and enemies of the state and not understand that there are some deranged people in our society who will take that as cues to act."

@radiofreetom.bsky.social i hear you on kompromat, but Trump was in Moscow at teen pageants and those hotels are famous for tons of cameras. Combined with his history it’s quite logical he was with women over there and it is on film. The Russians would have been looking at him while there for sure.

Of course, it's what he DOESN'T disclose that matters more.

President Trump's financial disclosure shows more than $630 million in income from 2024 including tens of millions from cryptocurrency and Trump-branded products touted on the campaign trail.
How does President Trump make his money? Real estate, hospitality and his name

I have figured it out. If you utterly ignore every word out of Trump's mouth, and instead only pay attention to what he DOES, its a lot easier to follow him. His words are utterly meaningless. What has he DONE this week? Bombed Iran.
June 24, 2025 at 3:13 PM
This. Plus, anytime anyone does a gotcha about something he said earlier. Same problem. You always have to look at the actual action, not his words.
Note to media:
“Trump says” is not a story. He says A LOT. He lies a lot. Do some sifting, discerning, contextualizing. Otherwise it’s just stenography. And you’re embarrassing yourselves.

The parade is the obvious massive protest destination.
June 10, 2025 at 5:28 PM
@lincolnproject.us on parade day, one idea would be to have all the protestors march the parade with the tanks. Just swamp it.

The opposition to Trump should march the parade with the tanks.Just swamp it with protestors.

Banks is a really good example of the substantial decline in leadership quality in the Senate. He's a Hegseth, but from Indiana.
Jim Banks on CNN: "This has actually been a really good day for President Trump ... he's taking the high ground with Elon."

This weird idea that the media has about Team Trump raging and frustrated and angry all the time is such a disaster. These people know exactly what they are doing, and calm, cool and collected and will keep implementing. Anger describes nothing. It's an effort for algorithmic eyeballs.
Stephen Miller is privately raging over deportation numbers he deems too low. So he's shifting huge amounts of law enforcement resources away from fighting serious crimes and into his immigration crackdown.

If voters knew about this, they'd recoil. 1/

Stephen Miller Erupts in Fury over Low Arrests—and Hands Dems a Weapon
Hitting Miller’s new deportation quotas could mean fewer resources to fight child trafficking, terrorism, and other crimes. Do Americans really want that?

Words like meltdown, tantrum, blowup are are sure sign that whatever you are reading is algorithmic and really not helpful.

Man and this is a US Senator. Yikes. Almost as bad as Cynthia Lummis.
Markwayne Mullin on the Russia-Ukraine war: "The best thing that's taken place in Europe is the war, because all the other countries are waking up."
May 28, 2025 at 3:26 AM
Trump has a severe mental problem relating to the fact that whoever speaks to him last gets his attention and changes his mind. Today, he’s gonna help the Gazans. That’s actually pro Hamas!
May 16, 2025 at 2:14 PM
Everything is always 2-3 weeks away for this guy.
US President Donald Trump says he is looking for a solution to ‘bad things’ happening in Gaza, including starvation.

Trump also predicted progress on Ukraine-Russia peace talks “in two or three weeks”, as he talked to reporters on the final day of his Middle East tour.

Of course it is the ultimate betrayal of law enforcement to insist only on the order part of law and order.
Today May 15th is Peace Officers Memorial Day. Statements like this are inflammatory, disrespectful and flat out lies. Not only did you betray law enforcement, but you sided with people who attacked us. You don't support law enforcement, you are are a criminal.

Any democrat not supporting every impeachment effort is an idiot not worthy of the spot in congress. If not for this, for what do you impeach?

It’s amazing how these republicans are supporting the broadest expansions of federal power into individuals’ lived in history backing the Trump security apparatus. Not to mention the hooded and masked cops.
May 9, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Of course balancing the budget is hard when ever MAGA cabinet member has massive spending plans.
I cannot begin to explain how unusual it is for an agency head to reject the administration's budget request wholesale in public. This usually gets you fired. Honestly makes me wonder if the skinny budget is just straight bullshit.

It will never cease to amaze me that this level of unsubtle dishonesty, such explicitly self-serving rhetoric has managed to convince so many people.
WELKER: When does it become the Trump economy?

TRUMP: It partially is right now. I think the good parts are the Trump economy and the bad parts are the Biden economy

"You deserve less" is a great campaign slogan for Republicans. Keep it up
Trump: "I don't think a beautiful baby girl that's 11 years old needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have three dolls or four dolls ... they don't need to have 250 pencils. They can have five."

I saw posts about this earlier and they seemed to be putting words in his mouth. But he actually did respond “I don’t know” to the direct question: “Don't you need to uphold the Constitution?”
WELKER: Your secretary of state says everyone who's here, citizens and non-citizens, deserve due process. Do you agree?

TRUMP: I don't know. I'm not a lawyer. I don't know.
