Today I learned (thanks, NPR) that from 1875 to 1975, there were more than 6,000 commercial shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. The publicity of song led to safety standard changes and there has not been a single commercial wreck since then.

Their money managers would likely talk them out of giving the cash, though. So, they probably come up with this win-win scenario!

I am supposed to fly with my son to Buffalo for the Bills game next Sunday (up Sat AM, back Sun evening) with my brother in law. We've been planning it since his birthday 6 months ago. This morning I had to lay out the risks that the trip just might not happen.

In the air right now to Miami from Doha because my flight to JFK was cancelled by American. This was the only alternative abailable. The reason they gave was basically "it's crazy right now"

That's good to know. I am also not a good off the rack fit. I tried Indochino but didn't like it. I have an appointment with Rick Maxwells in Uptown in a week, following a recommendation from a coworker.

There's a relatively new Arby's on Independence near Idlewild that I drive by on the way home sometimes. It is never busy, in fact it rarely *any* patrons. It appears to close at something like 8. Whole thing looks like a scam.

I have been to and enjoyed Bulla Gastrobar in South Park. I am sure there are others that somebody could recommend. Good Food on Montford, is not tapas per se, but good small plates
