But, that doesn’t make all Mods good. Mods also deserve criticism. And I don’t think Mods should be designed with the idea that it’s the “only way” to play a game. I think of ones removing stylistic choices, such as so-called “piss filters”. Those deserve pushback. It’s not all or nothing. Just POV.

I think it comes back to the question of, “what is the purpose of art?” Can we agree it’s human expression? Then what does that include? Reactions are expressions. Critiques are reactions. Critiques are alternate points of view. Art is about engaging in alternate points of view. Mods are that. But…
