Love family, pompey, house music, and decent beer
Back home and on chef duties. Another from my Deya hoarde. A lovely creamy IPA called Hotel Frog. It has lots of citrus and pineapple in the hops. Gave it a 4. Very nice, #bskybeer

The better half and I out like proper adults on a Friday. We had the pleasure of seeing an acoustic Jake Bugg tonight at Circuit at Kingston upon Thames. Top night. Put on by the good Banquet Records people. He even did Country Song. London even had a sing-along.

Great night with the lad at Wembley tonight.

Completed a load of deflector sheaves for my super yacht project. Nice chunk of cash and no month end panic.

Having one of my new Deya stash while watching the big game. A Pale called Salamander. Gave it a 4 and said it's a lovely light bodied pale with a nice lemon hint to a citrus hop bosh. Very very morish. Be lovely with a curry. #bskybeer

Rewarded with a beautiful sunrise at Hayling this morning with the wife's swim gang.

Postman has been twice this week. Beer yesterday and that magic plastic today. The Vick Lavender track is classic vocal house. Didn't think they made them like that anymore. For me, it's essential as it is a piece of modernist soul. It's a right grower, as the best records are Happy Friday folks

When in Gloucester last week, the plan was Thursday night to go to Deya and make use of the taproom. Unfortunately, that evening, it was closed as they had a gig on with Gong playing. So, on our return home, I ordered a case of their very good beer. It came today. #bskybeer

Night under the floodlights with the lad. We are a bit disappointed not to have bagged the three points. We just need Bishop to get a goal. A terrible one of his arse, shin or elbow. PUP

My regular Friday cooks brew. Having the last of my Abyss stash from our recent Lewes trip. Having a Dipa called Heavy Goods. My favourite Abyss so far. Perfect Dipa vibes. It's thick and has a lovely balanced bitterness to the very good tropical hop bosh. Gave it 4.25. #bskybeer

Had a couple of nice days away in Gloucester with the better half.

We did a family outing to Chichester tonight. A sound and light installation at the cathedral. Took me back to the backroom some dirty rave den of my youth. Although the cathedral was a stunning backdrop. The visuals used old maps of the town and plans of the cathedral.

A beer while watching football with the lad. Got from Abyss when we were in Lews the other week. A pale called Pastel Paradise. Gave it 3.75. It's a decent modern pale. Looks and smells good. Lots of orange in the hop hit. #bskybeer

A couple of end stops that are part of the Dutch super yacht project I have been sorting this year went today. In the pic, you can see the machined parts before polish and then the final assembly at sign off. These sit at the end of a track system that has a car that controls a boom for the sail rig

Another of the Beak horde while watching the football with the lad. It's a DIPA called Canna. Gave it 4.25. It's hoppy and dank. I get orange citrus and a huge dry finish. Lovely. #bskybeer. We're hoping for a better second half PUP

Postman brought vinyl this morning. This one is a beauty more than worth the look of discern from my good lady that is saying 'more records!'

Beautiful at Hayling early this morning. Was a little choppy for the wife's swim lot. The old girl and I enjoyed the views, though with a walk in the sand dunes

My regular Friday chef shant. By Full Circle. It's called Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man. What a name. I gave it 3.75. It's a little thin for me for a DIPA but still has lots of stone fruit goodness to like. I picked it up in Sainsbury's for the bargain price £2.75 #bskybeer

A well-deserved beer with the wife after work. Having a pint of Powder Monkey pale ale Anchor Drop. It's double hopped, so nice and juicy. Gave it 3.75. Good again,to see Fuller's putting on a local micro brewery #bskybeer

I'm having one from my Beak horde that I bought last weekend. Having NEIPA called Fluff. It's got a lovely lemony and orange peel flavour with a dank, hoppy finish. Lovely mouthfeel. Beak are quality beers. Gave it a 4 #bskybeer

Grey day at Hayling for the wife's swim group. But the water is lovely and calm. Like a mill pond. I took the old girl for a walk around the sand dunes.

I've been saving this one. Had my stitches out today and the hand healing up well. This is a TIPA by Verdant called The Don. It's lovely a hop soup. It is a good battle between sweet and bitter and lots of grapefruit. Gave it 4.25 #bskybeer

Just been to Abyss taproom. Had a raspberry and mango sour called Rave. Gave it 3.75. It tasted better the more I drank. Very tarte with lots of raspberry and subtle mango. #bskybeer
