Pretty much, but you can completely tailor the newsfeed to filter out any bollocks you don't want.

Even profiles you block are reappearing on your bewsfeed on Facebook. The reels are full of cheap adverts selling counterfeit bank notes and I.D. here in the UK. Even when reported they rarely remove them.
It's a complete mess.
