If you do finally see the Brutalist, let me just say I think the portrayal of Guy Pierce's character (to me) goes too far in one major plot aspect - even if it is metaphorical. I don't think this is a spoiler.

Also I just double checked with Lane and she said she liked the Brutalist more "by far". So definitely take what I said with a HUGE grain of salt. 😄

It was good. Still worth seeing. Definitely a different kind of film. Also, I think lane liked the Brutalist more.

I saw A Real Pain and the Brutalist in the same week. Overall this one felt a lot more mature and sincere. Culkin and Eisenberg were so good!

Well he was hanging out with the Fascists in Europe (Alice Weidel and Giorgia Meloni) and his maternal grandfather was a Nazi Sympathizer so I guess this was to be expected.
