That is criminal. Utility companies are getting away with transferring any profit from small businesses to themselves. Pure theft.

Not only does it do a disservice to the pub and the brewery but poorly kept or poorly brewed cask beer is the main reason cask struggles when it should really be respected as a national drink and more popular than anything else on the bar.

Whilst it's very awkward to do so I think we should. I certainly do if I know the landlord/landlady fairly well. But most good cellar managers and in turn good pubs should spot these faults before the beer even teachers the punters glass.
