Nothing like an empty Four Loko can on the sidewalk to remind you that you are, in fact, back in Wrigleyville

Me: “Double Makers on the rocks please.”
Hotel bartender: “Let me know when you think it’s a double.”

I always thought as I got older I’d get more conservative. But I do not care what you spend your SNAP funds on or who you marry. I do want everyone to pay their fair share of taxes, and if you have a bit more, you pay a bit more.

Shota’s a free agent and if he goes, he leaves a legacy as one of the generally happier human beings to ever take the mound in pinstripes at the corner of Clark and Addison. And if he re-signs, it’s a bit sunnier on the north side for however long he stays.

Of course Ohtani is going to bat again in Game 7 of the World Series. It had to happen.

One of the most underrated things about being done with marathon training is being able to work out JUST FOR FUN. I don’t have to run a set number of miles, I don’t have to stress about missing a workout. I can just go to the gym and zone out.

Cheers to the lives we have, and the lives we’ve had.

Just ran into my 20-something neighbors who were coming home from the bar drunk with boxed wine and Italian beef and look, I love the life we’ve built but there is the teeniest, tiniest part of me that misses those days.

To be clear, I am NOT pro-cancer. Cancer is, unequivocally, bad. Cancer is bad. I am, however, anti-Jonas Brothers or any other live music performance interrupting a World Series game.

It is WILD to me that the guy who hit the first pinch hit grand slam in World Series history has been couch surfing www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/...

The No Kings protests aren’t about trying to stop elections or interfere with government business. They are at their core about reminding a government that has wholly lost sight of the fact that it is supposed to be serving the people and not itself. That’s as American as it gets

Things aren’t looking great for the Cubs at the moment but, I dunno man. This season has given me a greater appreciation for the ballpark, the neighborhood, the people who make it come alive, being able to experience it with my kid.

The sun is coming up over Wrigleyville this morning. There’s at least one more game to be played at the Landmark. As a Cubs fan, you’re used to holding on to some shred of hope, regardless of how irrational it might be and, that’s what we got. Good morning from Chicago.
