Instagram is similar. My feed is brands, my reels are influencers, but at least stories are mostly humans. And some ads.
I know there's a profit motive to promote non-connection content, but surely showing all this crap decreases engagement in the long run.

the older I get, the closer the past seems. As a kid, the civil rights era seemed so long ago. As an adult, wow, it was only 2 decades before I was born?
