“I think these guys have to be pushed in spring training to turn back the clock a little bit and have the ability to play more of an early-’90s style of the game,” Mansolino said. “It’s a really hard thing to do during the season to put that type of stuff in place when you’ve got some players who go through a minor league system or a college career and they don’t bunt a lot. It’s hard to ask them to do that off a guy who’s throwing 100 in the ninth inning for the first time. For Rogers, it was his eighth straight start in which he threw at least six innings and allowed two runs or fewer. It’s the longest such stretch by an Orioles pitcher since Jim Palmer went eight straight from May 20-June 18, 1978. With the win, Rogers improves to 6-2 on the year and he continues to push his ERA south as it now sits at 1.41. In the process, he became the first Orioles starter to have an ERA under 1.50 through his first 12 starts of a season, besting the prior record of 1.50 set by Hoyt Wilhelm in 1954.

What are the odds that Dylan Beavers ends up on 2 Top 100 lists by the start of next season? 5%? 1%? His own development isn't tied to the awful display of baseball by the current crop of O's outfielders, but give the guy a chance already. It's hard to ask for more than what he's done at AAA
How does one become PPI-eligible? Eligibility is based on the preseason rankings. Eligible prospects have to appear on at least two of the three Top 100 Prospect rankings released by MLB Pipeline, Baseball America and ESPN. Those players must be rookie-eligible and have fewer than 60 days of prior MLB service.

The team said that there is still a way for ticket holders to cobble together a plan similar to the one with 13 Sunday games. To do that, a fan would need to purchase a 20-game plan of Sunday games and then sell back six games to the team in exchange for monetary credit for the 2027 season. Six is the maximum number of games a fan can sell back under the new 2026 rules. The result would be 14 Sunday games, plus the perks of a 20-game plan including 25% savings on concessions and merchandise and guaranteed opening day access. Such an approach would be more expensive — perhaps significantly so — than the current 13-game Sunday option. The cost difference would depend on the seat locations and other factors.

Going back to last season, the Orioles have had 10 players with at least 300 plate appearances. The only ones with a worse wRC+ than Adley Rutschman (102) are Ryan Mountcastle (99) and Jackson Holliday (81)
