Nope it’s all thawed around the edges. Just too much ice for boats still. Can’t cast too far from shore either.

Minnow Lake / Hydraulic Lake area on the other side of 33. The larger lake has some ice yet but minnow is clear here. I ran into a lot of snow trying to head up to the Beaver Lake area just a few days ago so I didn’t try again but assume it’s still too early.

Really unfortunate that I just came across the needles road today but my vehicle is too tall. I’ll be back here again though to see these places. And I’m still marveling at the parts of the black hills that I can access.

I don’t know any states that are incredible from one side to the other. But what parts of ND impressed you? 3 years in a van and I think ND is the only state in the lower 48 I haven’t seen yet.
