Like many in Hollywood, Alfred Hitchcock was antifascist.
His 1942 movie Sabateur warned of a 5th Column of oligarchs who wanted to destroy democracy through acts of terrorism and replace it with a totalitarian form of government that would be more profitable for them. The echos are striking.
