I work hard to keep my trap shut at family gatherings - and to be fair, most of them probably keep their trap shut around me for things as well. It's always a toss up between "drink and stay drunk to survive" or "don't drink in case it's so bad I need to leave in a hurry".

Last time was around two or so weeks ago? We listen to Tiki Bar Radio a bit and there are a few songs that I think they have on high rotation!

That's what I noticed, too - even in places that had no English skill it was all smiles and muddling through with ease.

Kimchi pizza, cut up in front of me with a pair of scissors, was certainly not on my bingo card - would recommend! (Admittedly it feels like an abomination to have it anything other than fresh, though)

I had only a couple of meals in Korea I didn't like - one of them was pasta at an "Italian" restaurant 😬
I LOVED Korea - it had the feel of a young nation, but still had depth and history. And, beyond a couple of exceptions, the food was just incredible.

Fits and starts .. if not for fear of my Kindle crashing from bed to floor after I doze off and waking up the husband and at least one dog, I'd likely have finished some time back.
