I’m a Costco member for 10+ years and well aware of the need to sign-in. Still, their site/app needs a lot of work to become a true competitor to the likes of Amazon. I’m all for it! Also, I haven’t shopped at Walmart/Target in years but your point is valid.

Agreed but they do excel in surfacing a good variety of items from a simple search, all with pretty fast shipping. Still, I’m avoiding Amazon as much as possible and we’ve started driving to the store for stuff (not just Costco but other retailers). Limited options can be a good thing…

Also, I have shifted my thinking to reconsider Walmart and Target for some things. Lesser of two evils considering they’re becoming smaller fish in the ocean of merch 🤷🏻‍♂️

Agree (and I love Costco). I’ve stopped 98% of my Amazon usage and that pesky 2% annoys me to no end. They just have better availability for some tech things I need use or random gifts for the family. But I’m learning to go to other sites to break from amazon completely. 🤞🏻

While I would love Costco to do this, they are in no way “best positioned” to do it. Have you ever tried to use their website or app? It’s slow and antiquated. They would need to invest at least a year of updates to their e-commerce technology and storefront before even attempting.
