My blended photography work is a journey into the heart of duality.

This came from a place of limbo - a sense of feeling in between. Not here or there.

This displacement I felt so strongly, a dissonance that was visceral yet familiar and weirdly comforting.

Each book has a literal story to tell and inevitably another which is that of how it came about. In this fast paced media saturated world I’m drawn more and more to the printed page.

These days I don’t really get a chance to look back on it and appreciate the huge achievement it was - but my daughter has recently taken an interest in various people and photographs from that time.

So, on World Book Day, I’m expressing gratitude - as well as huge respect for anyone in publishing

Over 400 pages, 70 shows, 4000 individual credits, 800 photos, countless release forms signing off on ALL the content.

Self published, distributed and sold out 4,500 copies worldwide - this was a massive group effort, and one-off!

9 years ago this week, following a mad year that almost broke us, we published our Curtain Call book, documenting a year backstage in london theatre.

We set out to celebrate everyone involved in these productions

To give them all a bow - their curtain call.
