“Behavioural expressions of need” is the preferred term put forward by the Advisory Group for the Psychology of Ageing Network to replace phrases like “behaviour that challenges” and BPSD. This was highlighted by psychologists at the end of Parallel Session 6.1. Worth keeping in mind going forward.
