I do agree that Watchmen is dense. I've used that term myself, not because of the word count but because of the symbolism in the story and art. Even tho I've read it numerous times, I would not be surprised if someone pointed out something I haven't noticed or heard of before.

"Generic" is a word I've also used to describe Colletta’s work. Ironically, his work is distinctive enough that it's recognizable.
