Dirty Dick's pub at 175 Finnieston Street, 1955.

The pub was located in a tenement which was built in 1864. Its proximity to Glasgow Harbour made Dirty Dick's a favourite with dockers and sailors of all nationalities.

A wonderfully vibrant photochrome image of the University of Glasgow, created by the Detroit Publishing Company in the 1890s. The technique uses a black-and-white negative to create lithographic printing plates, which are then used to print images in various colors.
