Joe Dart III from Sterling by Music Man finally here (ordered 4/2). Nicest $500 Bass I’ve handled. It’s heavier than expected. Neck is almost a baseball bat. Knob is only thing that feels cheap. Was going to sell if not in love with it. I’ll keep it.

Russell Malone was a wonderful musician and a great loss. I caught him in a trio with Christian McBride shortly after Michael Jackson died, and they covered Human Nature. I think about what I heard that night often.
