okay, call me simple but I cannot make head or tail of this graf. what does “may suffer” mean?
If authors like Daniels decide to opt out of the Al contract, they must sign an addendum that includes a clause stating their work "may suffer as a result of or in relation to the fact that Hopkins Press will not exercise Al Rights in respect to the work.

folks, you've gotta be as mindful about citing digital sources as you would be about citing pages in a book!

Finally, please bear in mind that the version of the manuscript that you submit for copyediting has to be in completely final form. If you were to do any extensive rewriting when you review the copyediting, much of the manuscript might have to be recopyedited--an unbudgeted extra step that could seriously impair the book's schedule. And at the proofreading stage you should plan on making corrections that only concern typos, grammatical errors, and misstatements of fact.
