It's definitely TRUE that the Academy never appropriately awards horror or sci-fi (or comedy, for that matter), BUT... SINNERS is not only/solely a vampire/horror film. It's so much more than that (a la GET OUT).

I don't "want" to see it this way but... especially in the CONTEXT of historical precedent & RECORD- how can we not??
OBAA, imo, is also a great film. But SINNERS is the best film of 2025. AND, importantly (just watch what happens), THE film that we will be talking about the most & for the longest.
