Really happy with how this came out. My Tampa photo book was just published by Twin Light Publishers. 128 page coffee table book with photography entirely by me.

Figured I should share this here for any new followers.
Sunday morning was super foggy. I had to get creative to come up with some photos I liked. All of these were almost black and white straight out of the camera due to the fog and lack of sun. 🪶 #silhouette
1)Northern Mockingbird silhouette against Sun. Yep that's the sun obscured by fog.

One of the signs of "winter" coming to Florida is ducks returning from up north. I was happy to see these Ring-necked Ducks fly into the wetlands Saturday morning. They did a couple loops allowing me to get some decent flight shots before deciding where to land. 🪶

Something a little different for me. I rarely do black and white but the first pic just called for it. Such cool shapes and tones at sunrise.

Painted Bunting for the win! Went out for a morning walk. Not really expecting much today. Suddenly saw a small bird with a flash of red. Didn't really realize what it was until I finally got a good view. Definitely made the morning walk worthwhile. 🪶

American Kestrel in Flight - These always fly off when I get close and usually in the opposite direction so it's hard to capture. This one flew off when it saw me but at least flew parallel to me for a minute allowing me to get decent flight shots. 🪶

Crested Caracara Takeoff - I watched this guy chewing on a bone in the grass for a bit then fly up to the fence. It cleaned it's beak on the fence, posed in the beautiful morning light for a minute or two and then took off. 🪶

Spent time photographing the Female Harrier Hawk yesterday. Didn't get many close passes but made the best of it. The last 3 are highly cropped action from a long way off. In 4th pic Harrier, Caracara and Red-winged Blackbird interacting, 5th-6th pic 2 female Harriers fighting. 🪶

Here are a couple of my favorite Osprey shots so far. Still looking for a chance to get one of them diving with the talons out.

A few landscape shots from my morning hike. It was 49 degrees when I started which was nice and caused some of the mist coming off the water. This allowed me to get a few different than normal takes on one of my favorite spots. #sunrise #mist #fog #landscape

Creepy Crawlies - The 3 creatures of the night were all seen on a night walk in Ecuador. 🕷️ #spider
1)Tarantula-Although scary, tarantulas are generally harmless to humans, with venom that is mild and usually causes reactions similar to a bee sting.

Halloween Week Day 3
Although I love snakes, I know many people are scared of them. This Juvenile Cottonmouth wanted to hang out in the middle of the nice warm road and didn't really want to cooperate and move over despite multiple cars coming by. 🐍

The Butcher Bird - The brutal 'butcherbird' that impales its prey on barbed wire. Loggerhead shrikes can kill prey bigger than themselves by stabbing and shaking them, before impaling them on sticks to eat later. 🪶
