Ok…I’m not the only one.

It literally broke my brain to watch a guy so thoroughly beclown himself while simultaneously showing complete self-assuredness bordering on bravado.

I’m still struggling to process it.

Well, elected officials always benefit from looking like competent protectors. Right now the exec branch looks pathetic.

Play out? Honestly, I'm pretty sure the whole thing is a PsyOp laying the groundwork for fascism and it's gonna play out super ugly.

Much more likely than aliens, imo.

There 100% is all of that capability and it could be brought to bear anytime Biden admin ordered it, in co-op with govs/natguard.

Instead, admin seems perfectly content to look like feckless morons.

$1m question is why
December 15, 2024 at 8:57 PM
Lawfully operated drones are tracked thru RemoteID. My guy sometimes flies a path that spells “Hi” to the local controllers.

As of Sep 2023, drones larger than a 1/2 lb not transmitting ID or operating within an FAA ID zone are unlawful (& should be shot down).
December 15, 2024 at 8:42 PM
Why not? Every other agency has held press conferences saying exactly that.

FAA should be front and center on this and they’re not. Please understand how insane that is.
December 15, 2024 at 8:20 PM
Agree.

But the Biden Admin has a strong incentive to pin NJ on him, or whichever asshole tech bro might be conducting a psyop, or someone. Literally anyone. And yet they’re not doing it.

The “why” of that is the truly disturbing aspect.
December 15, 2024 at 8:17 PM
Agree! I’d also like the Feds to stop pretending NJ is normal, lawful drone activity.

If it was, they’d have a shit ton of remoteID data to prove it.
December 15, 2024 at 5:12 PM
That’s incorrect. The FARs apply to everything in the sky over the US.

Large manned drones may not yet have their own chapter, but their operations are still, by default, governed by existing Parts of the FARs, primarily Part 91.

The NJ fiasco is primarily about drones of Cat3+
December 15, 2024 at 5:05 PM
Sure they could. They could hold a press conference highlighting the rash of illegal drone activity in the Eastern US.

They're not doing that.

Why?
December 15, 2024 at 5:51 AM
I get it. Everyone is in mourning. It's causing apolitical posts to fly right over people's heads. Lemme help you grasp...

By ignoring thousands of violations of its own rules, the FAA is quietly admitting it's fucking clueless about NJ.

Is that clearer now?
December 15, 2024 at 5:50 AM
Forget the videos. It's about the law.

Since Sep of last year, virtually every unmanned aircraft in US airspace is required to broadcast RemoteID: coord/altitude of the operator, coord/altitude/groundspeed of the drone, registration, etc.

FAA could clear this up instantly.

They're not.

Why?
