It's rotoscoping (but with a shortcut)

I do film it on green-screen and then draw over it, but I only have to draw over a few frames per shot and run it through a free program called EbSynth.

It interpolates those drawn frames to match the rest of the shot!

No need to draw every single frame.

Instead of cute little Pikmon noises when he's thrown, it's shrieks of terror

Game 2 is really long! Way more than would fit into a 7-8 episode season without major cuts.

There is also a lot of flashback sections of the game that might work as its own season if they added a bit to it.
We'll have to see!

The writing is so consistently good from the big story moments to the mundane side quests. It's all narratively gripping and the gameplay is so much fun as well.

Although that last idea...
