Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

I really loved Charlotte’s Place by @michaelschulman.bsky.social. It’s such a gentle review of a beautiful life - well lived if I can say - of a woman of incredible grit, wisdom, and grace. Great job, Michael!

I was blind, but now I see. You can try to kill DEI, but you can’t undo the progress already made. And just like
those arrogant white people in photos from the civil rights era are seen with new light today, so shall we see the people who preach the gospel but practice hate in our own back yard.

Trump's moves show off his WEAKNESS.

He is doing by executive order what he cannot do by legislation -- because Republicans DO NOT HAVE THE VOTES.

Trump's election wasn't a mandate, it was a mistake.

I’m looking for good ways to revolt. Ideas? Obviously, no longer shopping at Target. Shocked the shareholders didn’t have more gumption to fight this admin in Court on these issues given their long history of support. Like they needed another reason to lose the retail wars 🤣
