I'm really intrigued in seeing a darker take on the Wizard of Oz tale. So, even if it may not be the best cover, it is the one I would buy at the comic book store, and in the realm of comics where the money flows is to whom the winner goes.

I don't know, I think being guillotined and then having you head placed in a vice is a very apt political statement. It's very 18th century France.

I like the left one better. It's much more dynamic and ambitious with its use of perspective. The more pronounced use of darker colors also make the yellows and reds pop more. That's my two cents for what it's worth (it's worth $00.02 I expect to see my check in the mail)

Best of Luck! I just finished a first draft of a children's novel after being inspired by an episode of #ComicBookSchool a few months ago. It's dreadful as the focus was, not on getting it right, but getting it written. I'll have to do some grammarian training before the next draft.
