Covered We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives by Los Campesinos! on my glockenspiel because they use it a lot in their music and I have one so I had to take on this perfect opportunity

How is Johnny Foreigner not considered one of the defining emo revival bands-is it because they’re British? Like literally everything about this album has all the qualities-math rock noodling, a driving punk backbone, moody lyrics…they weren’t even contemporaries of TTNG?

Any possible way I can try to get this sold-out Geese shirt? It’s got such a sick design

There’s a lot of Christmas albums that exist obviously but what are some good Thanksgiving albums to put on? They don’t have to be themed with the holiday per se, but one that exudes the warm autumnal vibes enough to put it on that day. This is one for me

Here’s my impromptu question I asked Rebecca Sugar and Ian JQ through the livestream for their animation panel at SVA in NYC on Saturday! And I had my name said to them and in front of the whole audience! This means the world to me as #StevenUniverse is my favorite show!!!!

And that’s not even getting into how I saw other legends like Dante Basco, Jesse Flower and Jack DeSena from ATLA and even none other than Ariel herself JODI BENSON while walking down the autographing area…I was in a space with literal childhood legends to me #NYCC

Getting to meet Steve from Blue’s Clues was a really beautiful moment for me. Talking about indie rock bands with my childhood hero that he listened to while on the show was a surreal experience, and really felt like a full-circle moment for me. Steve is a true kind soul #NYCC

Talking with Mae Whitman about the Lumity kiss in The Owl House and the Roxie/Kim kiss in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off was wild, she told me that she loves doing this as part of the LGBT community and these being her favorite roles to play! Also told her I love her songs with Chris Farren lol #NYCC

Getting to chat with the Aang himself Zach Tyler Eisen on Friday was beyond unreal. I brought my childhood DVD copy of The Ant Bully over and he was amazed! He told me how much he loved recording with the all-star cast of the film, he even told me that he saw Paul Giamatti the other day! #NYCC

The Glitch booth was unexpectedly packed to the gills-took over 2 hours to get me to the signing. But I made a new friend named Alaina who does a lot of cool TADC/dragon hybrid art and she made the wait worth it! I found a lot in common with her and I hope I see her again #NYCC

Meeting Amanda Hufford and and Ash Nichols from Amazing Digital Circus was sick! Told them that Ragatha and Zooble were among my favorite TADC characters, touched on human versions of their characters (Amanda doesn’t know but Ash sees Zooble’s as emo) and I got Amanda into the band Wednesday! #NYCC

Meeting Olivia Olson rocked! Talked to her about if she listened to any cool music since she covered Mitski as Marceline in Adventure Time (she listens to Little Simz), she told me about how so many LGBT couples tell her they felt repped in Bubbline, and she loved my Dismemberment Plan shirt! #NYCC

Happy 25 years to the timeless. absolutely untouchable Relationship of Command by At the Drive-In. Not just the most defining post-hardcore album of the 2000s but one of the all-time great rock albums period. It’s an album in a world of its own, and that’s what’s legendary about it 🔥

Happy 20 years to Death Cab For Cutie’s breakthrough album Plans. This was the one that did it for them for good reason-the arrangements are unique and timeless, it’s a consistently gorgeous album and Ben’s descriptive storytelling was so moving. Defies time completely @calculizer.bsky.social

Just listened to this album for the first time and yeah it’s a masterpiece. Combines indie rock with old-school hip hop in a way everyone can get down to and really shows how samples can lead entire songs. This is the definitive alternative dance album, a total blast to listen to
