“Witchcraft For Wayward Girls” by @gradyhendrix.bsky.social is wonderful. Deeply emotional, scary, funny, and overflowing with some of his best writing. Even when there wasn’t witchy goings on the characters are over flowing with life and the story is so compelling you can’t put it down!

Picked up some new reads today! My TBR is getting so long!!

Has anyone read this book? If you have, can you tell me about it? Found it at a used book giveaway and it’s 1,433 pages long and apparently “the year’s Bestseller” in 1984.

Some of the films I loved in 2024

My favorite read of 2024 was “Incidents Around The House” by @joshmalerman.bsky.social . It stayed with and haunted me like no other book this year. A masterwork of horror.

Was shocked to find that I really enjoyed Red One. Silly, dumb, action packed holiday fun. And I’m a sucker for mythical creatures and a witch! It was nice to just have fun.

Loved Nosferatu! And so happy they have the Count his mustache!

I’ve struggled to write a single word since my last rejection. It’s so hard when you feel you’re writing some of your best stuff but it’s still not good enough. Hoping the new year brings new stories and maybe a win or two.

Enjoying these two so far. Very different from each other but both delightfully strange.
