I think Sheik Yerbouti and Joe’s Garage have won many converts over the years and the Lather triple album has some amazing stuff on it x

No single US news source is consumed by more than 25% of Americans, whereas 60% of Brits regularly watch/read/listen to the BBC.
A single shared source of truth makes it harder for partisan echo chambers to form, or for divisive narratives to dominate. It’s good for social cohesion and compromise.

How lovely! If you have Spotify I’d start with a live album: Cornell 5/8/77 i rarely play their studio albums as Dead’s live recordings sound astonishing thanks to Owsley. I like a lot of their live shows from 72, 74 and the late 70s when sadly drugs got Jerry’s voice but not his guitar. Enjoy x

Massachusetts introduced a wealth tax in 2023
They raised $5.7B for public services
Despite the wealth tax, the number of millionaires increased by 40% 🤷

Despite previous concerns, Massachusetts' "millionaire's tax" hasn't seemed to deter high-earners from continuing to live here, according to a new study from the Institute for Policy Studies.
